Research the causes for hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, how does it impact the TSH levels. What are signs and symptoms for each. Homework : Friday

1. I can distinguish between endocrine and exocrine glands and define the terms hormone, and prostaglandins
2. i can identify and locate the primary endocrine glands and list the major hormones they produce.
3. I can describe the mechanism of steroid and nonsteroid hormones
4. I can explain how negative and postitive feedback is used to regulate the secretions of the endocrine hormones
5. I can identify the major funcitons of each major endocrine gland , and describe the medical conditions that may result from hyposecretion and hypersecretion of the gland
6. I can identify the target cells of each hormone of the endocrine glands
7. I can state the difference between diabetes insipidus and diabetes mellitus
8. i can define giantism, goiter, cretinism and glycosuria
